What We Want
Best City Breaks is a dynamic travel magazine, offering insightful, engaging, and motivational content for passionate explorers. We are storytellers at heart, crafting narratives that inspire wanderlust.
In short, we’re looking for originality. We want stories that express and inspire. A great travel article should spark curiosity, share personal insight, and above all, motivate readers to explore the world.
Your piece should be written in the first person and past tense, told from your unique perspective. We’re not after generic guides or recycled content – no plagiarism, no fluff. We want stories that feel lived-in, honest, and vibrant. That means plenty of detail, vivid descriptions, sharp observations, and the occasional surprise. If your story raises an eyebrow (in a good way), all the better.
Every article should have a clear theme or hook, a central idea or discovery that gives the article purpose. Think beyond “here’s what I did” and focus on why the experience mattered. Were you chasing a trend, uncovering a local secret, following a personal challenge, or seeing a familiar place in a new light?
Tell us where you were, why you went, and what made the experience memorable. The strongest stories are those that carry a thread from beginning to end, leaving the reader with a sense of reflection or resolution. It doesn’t need to follow a strict timeline. Feel free to structure creatively – but it should be cohesive and engaging.
Including quotes from locals can really bring your story to life. If you do include a quote, please make sure it’s accurate, and let us know who said it, where you met them, and what their relevance is to your piece.
We’re not just looking for travel – we’re looking for real stories, well told.
Types of Posts That We DON'T Accept
We’re always excited to hear fresh ideas and invite you to share your story pitch with us. That said, to keep our editorial standards high and our storytelling authentic, we won’t consider submissions that:
Have appeared in other publications or platforms.
Feel like marketing copy, promotional content, or are part of SEO-driven link-building scheme.
Lack clarity, thoughtfulness, or focus on tearing down rather than offering insight.
- Copied stories from others
Please note that we only accept original photos, or photos that you have the right to use.
We value originality, integrity, and a genuine point of view. If your story offers a meaningful perspective and useful tips, we can’t wait to read it.
